The Southeast Polk Rams put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Linn-Mar 49-9 at home. The result was nothing new for Southeast Polk, who have now won six matchups by 34 points or more so far this season.
Southeast Polk's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Connor Moberly, who threw for 167 yards and two touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes, and also punched in a rushing score. Landon Vander werff was another key contributor, rushing for 73 yards and two touchdowns.
Southeast Polk's victory was their ninth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.0 points per game. As for Linn-Mar, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
Southeast Polk will face off against Cedar Falls at TBD on Friday. Cedar Falls will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Iowa Rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Southeast Polk is ranked first). Linn-Mar does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
