Basketball Recap: Crosby Now 10-1 over Last 11 Games

There's no place like home for Crosby, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They came out on top against the Holy Cross Crusaders by a score of 71-60 on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Crusaders back in December of 2024, they had to take a 86-76 loss.

Crosby's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nevin Kinsey led the charge by going 10-for-21 to rack up 26 points and five assists. The game was Kinsey's eighth in a row with at least 17 points. Rayquan Anderson was another key player, dropping a double-double with 16 points and 13 boards.

Crosby smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in 17 consecutive matchups.

Crosby has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.5 points over those games. As for Holy Cross, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crosby will welcome Kolbe-Cathedral at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Crosby knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 19 games -- so hopefully Kolbe-Cathedral likes a good challenge. As for Holy Cross, they will host Waterbury Career Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Waterbury Career Academy will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Holy Cross surely won't give up without a fight.
