Resurrection Christian has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Thursday. They will take on the St. Mary's Pirates at 6:30 p.m. St. Mary's took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Resurrection Christian, who comes in off a win.
Last Saturday, Resurrection Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over East, taking the game 54-46.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Resurrection Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jacob Barker, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds. Ty Yoder was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, St. Mary's came up short against Peyton on Saturday and fell 60-50. St. Mary's has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Resurrection Christian pushed their record up to 5-0 with that win, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.1 points per game. As for St. Mary's, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Resurrection Christian lost to St. Mary's on the road by a decisive 81-63 margin when the teams last played back in December of 2021. Can Resurrection Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
