A well-balanced attack led The First Academy over Orangewood Christian in every quarter on their way to victory on Wednesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that The First Academy blew Orangewood Christian out of the water with a 80-28 final score. That 52 points margin sets a new team best for The First Academy this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead The First Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lorenzo De jesus, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. Another player making a difference was Cael Lerner, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Trinity Prep over Geneva in every quarter on their way to victory on Thursday. Trinity Prep blew past Geneva 58-32. The victory was just what Trinity Prep needed coming off of a 58-31 defeat in their prior game.
The First Academy's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Trinity Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 8-13.
Everything came up roses for The First Academy against Trinity Prep in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 68-37 win. Will The First Academy repeat their success, or does Trinity Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
