Legacy Charter hasn't had much luck against Orangewood Christian recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Rams at 6:00 p.m. Orangewood Christian took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Legacy Charter, who comes in off a win.
Legacy Charter is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over Central Florida Christian Academy. Legacy Charter hasn't had any issues with Central Florida Christian Academy recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
Cecil Farese looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, James Hodge was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Legacy Charter is undefeated when Hodge posts two or more runs, but 3-11 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Kevin Barnard, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Legacy Charter kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Orangewood Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Lake Highland Prep on Friday and fell 4-2. That's two games in a row now that the Rams have lost by exactly two runs.
Rhys Oldham was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits.
On the hitting side, Aiden Balls was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
Legacy Charter's record now sits at 6-11. As for Orangewood Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Legacy Charter has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Orangewood Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Legacy Charter might still be hurting after the 9-1 loss they got from Orangewood Christian in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
