The Orthopaedic Vipers will venture away from home to face off against the Bernstein Dragons at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Orthopaedic's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 22-0 margin over Annenberg. The win was nothing new for the Vipers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Brianna Ramirez made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Those 13 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games she's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Natalie Garcia, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Elizabeth Ajin was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with six stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Orthopaedic hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last matchup, Bernstein made sure to put some runs up on the board against Roybal on Monday. The Dragons blew past the Titans 20-10.
Orthopaedic pushed their record up to 9-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Bernstein, their record is now 5-8.
Everything went Orthopaedic's way against Bernstein in their previous matchup back in February of 2019, as Orthopaedic made off with an 18-2 victory. Do the Vipers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Dragons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
