Greeneview moved up to 428 from 529 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Ohio Heritage. The Rams climbed the ranks as a result of a 23-8 win over Cedarville.
West Liberty-Salem extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Catholic Central, 25-6. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Tigers.
Mechanicsburg's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Colin VERNON threw for 136 and one touchdown and Brandon PURK had 86 yards receiving. On the ground Aeryton ERWIN chipped in 129 yards. Luke MARSH helped Mechanicsburg's passing attack out by catching one ball for 19 yards.
Mechanicsburg's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Indians feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. VERNON has thrown for 799 yards and nine touchdowns this season, while PURK has 30 catches for 565 yards. ERWIN leads the league in rushing with 579 yards.
A big matchup in Ohio Heritage this week will be when Greeneview takes on Triad. At the moment, Neal Kasner's team is in third, while the Cardinals are in second.
Triad took down Northeastern 35-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
