The Splendora Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Livingston Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Splendora focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
Splendora suffered their biggest defeat since December 28, 2023 on Tuesday. They suffered a tough 75-50 loss at the hands of Hamshire-Fannett. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Splendora in their matchups with Hamshire-Fannett: they've now lost seven in a row.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Justin Kelley, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Peyton Whaley, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Livingston had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They took down Liberty 61-45.
Splendora's loss dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Livingston, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Splendora didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Livingston in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 52-46 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Livingston's Jayden Randolph, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds.
