If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Stoneham. On Friday they will take on Wilmington at 7:00 PM. Wilmington will need to watch out since Stoneham have now posted big point totals in their last four contests.
Stoneham put the finishing touches on their 5th blowout victory of the season last Friday. They were fully in charge, breezing past Watertown 51-13. The victory was familiar territory for Stoneham, who now have six in a row.
Meanwhile, if Wilmington were riding high off their 33-7 takedown of Watertown two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Wilmington had victory within their grasp but couldn't quite capture it as the team lost 13-14 to Burlington.
Stoneham found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 6-34 punch to the gut against Wilmington the last time the two teams met. Can Stoneham avenge their loss, or is history doomed to repeat itself ? We'll soon find out.
