Heath scaled the state rankings by moving to 443 from 477 this week, the biggest jump in Licking County - Small. The Bulldogs climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Lakewood 52-19.
Newark Catholic extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Watkins Memorial, 34-14. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Johnstown-Monroe's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Johnnies feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Josh Kirkpatrick has thrown for 349 yards and 3 touchdowns this season, while Marcus Nogaj has 9 catches for 130 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Johnstown-Monroe takes on Northridge. As it stands, the Johnnies are in third, while the Vikings are in second.
Heath made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,877 from 8,770. The advance stemmed from a 52-19 victory over the Lancers last week.
