The Rosman Tigers lost against the Mitchell Mountaineers back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Rosman took a serious blow against Mitchell, falling 41-14. Rosman was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.
Mitchell's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rylan Cooper led the charge by rushing for 52 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, while also picking up 41 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Caleb Cook, who threw for 191 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes.
Rosman's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-9. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.0 points per game. As for Mitchell, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.
Rosman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Mitchell will be playing at home against Avery County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
