This season hasn't been kind to the St. Edward Beavers, who are still winless after their 13th game. They took a serious blow against St. Francis on Tuesday, falling 73-7. St. Edward was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-4.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, St. Edward struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. They are winless (0-5) when they can't control their own glass like that.
St. Edward dropped their record down to 0-13 with that loss, which was their 14th straight on the road. As for St. Francis, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-6.
St. Edward will head out on the road to square off against Chambers/Wheeler Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Chambers/Wheeler Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 on Tuesday. As for St. Francis, they will be playing at home against Pierce at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
