The Freedom Patriots will face off against the Easton Area Rovers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
If Freedom beats Easton Area with six runs on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Freedom beat Pocono Mountain East on Wednesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 6-1.

Michael Horvath spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up ten Ks. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Santiago Rodriguez, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Michael Cobb was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Easton Area never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over Stroudsburg. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rovers have posted since April 18, 2024.
Not much got past Zach Mattes, who gave up just two hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Stroudsburg off the board.
On the hitting side, Easton Area's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Max Martenis, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Kurtis Crossman also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Freedom's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Easton Area, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-1.
Freedom came out on top in a nail-biter against Easton Area in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 6-4. Will Freedom repeat their success, or does Easton Area has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
