Make it eight blowout wins for the Wendover Wildcats this season. Everything went their way against Manila on Friday as Wendover made off with a 53-28 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Wendover has posted since November 30, 2023.
Wendover found their leader in underclassman Millie Hicks, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 rebounds. Hicks hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Gaby Delgadillo, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and five assists.
Wendover's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Manila, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-6.
Wendover will head out on the road to square off against Rich at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Rich is ranked 49th, while Wendover is ranked 54th). As for Manila, they will play host again and welcome Bryce Valley, where tip off is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Bryce Valley will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
