After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Kingman Academy, the Kingman Bulldogs were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They walked away with a 45-33 victory over Ash Fork. This was payback for Kingman, who suffered a 40-37 defeat the last time these two teams met.
When it comes to explaining why Ash Fork lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jamie Keele. Despite the final result, she scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds. Keele continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Gracie Staples, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 15 rebounds.
Kingman now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Ash Fork, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kingman will challenge Odyssey Institute at 5:30 p.m. on December 14th. Ash Fork will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against St. Michael at 5:30 p.m. on December 12th.
