After three games on the road, Fillmore Central is heading back home. They will take on the Sandy Creek Cougars at TBD on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Saturday, Fillmore Central came up short against the Wolverines and fell 45-34. That's two games in a row now that Fillmore Central has lost by exactly 11 points.
Meanwhile, Sandy Creek was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 49-43 to the Titans. While losing is never fun, Sandy Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 216th, while the Titans are ranked 94th).
Despite the defeat, Sandy Creek saw an underclassman step up: Paige Biltoft scored 14 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Biltoft has scored all season. Emma Fisher was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds.
Fillmore Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Sandy Creek, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.
