Softball Recap: Lindblom Wins Going Away Against Curie

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chicago Washington, Lindblom was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Curie Condors 16-10. Considering the Eagles have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Simone Bishop, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Ky'Mora Bell, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.

Lindblom always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .649. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .533 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Lindblom has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Curie, the loss snapped their winning streak at nine games and leaves them with a 10-3 record.

Looking ahead, Lindblom will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Simeon at 5:00 p.m. Curie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
