Army-Navy and Maranatha Christian are an even 4-4 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Army-Navy Warriors will be playing at home against the Maranatha Christian Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Maranatha Christian took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Army-Navy, who comes in off a win.
Army-Navy can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They didn't even let Escondido Charter onto the board and left with a 21-0 win. The victory was just what Army-Navy needed coming off of a 42-3 loss in their prior contest.
Tonton Drobny and Nehemiah L brunson jr were among the main playmakers for Army-Navy as the former rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown on only five carries and the latter rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries.
The team's defense also helped out by holding Escondido Charter to a paltry 216 yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to Army-Navy's ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid him out 4.5 times before it was all said and done. Leading the way was Ratumana Bulabalavu and his 2.5 sacks.
Meanwhile, Maranatha Christian fell victim to Tri-City Christian's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-0. Maranatha Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Army-Navy's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Maranatha Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Army-Navy against Maranatha Christian in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 45-0 victory. Does Army-Navy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Maranatha Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
