Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Indian Creek's Third in Last Four Outings

Indian Creek won the last time they faced Monrovia, and Alexa Sichting did her part to make sure it happened again. The Indian Creek Braves strolled past the Monrovia Bulldogs with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 59-45 thanks in part to Sichting, who almost dropped a triple-double on 24 points, 19 boards, and nine blocks. Those 19 boards gave her a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Ayla Lollar, who posted nine points and five assists. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.

Indian Creek has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Monrovia, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Indian Creek will be playing in front of their home fans against Whiteland at 7:30 p.m. on December 17th. As for Monrovia, they are taking a road trip to square off against Speedway at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Speedway: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Monrovia has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season.
