The Quantico Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 65-25 defeat at the hands of Massanutten Military Academy. Quantico was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Colonels apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2019.
Massanutten Military Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Summerlee Baldwin led the charge by scoring 25 points. Emerson Shuttleworth was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Quantico's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Massanutten Military Academy, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
Quantico won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Badgers at 4:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Tandem Friends is on a four-game streak of home losses, the Warriors a 15-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. As for Massanutten Military Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Conquerors at 5:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Mountain View Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
