Softball Recap: Mendez Has No Trouble Against Hollywood

After losing to Hollywood the last time they met, Mendez decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Mendez Jaguars were the clear victor by a 19-7 margin over the Hollywood Sheiks on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Jaguars.

The team relied heavily on Luna Rubio, who scored three runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. What's more, she posted two hits, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Nathalie Bustillo, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3.

Mendez was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hollywood only posted a batting average of .250.

Mendez now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Hollywood, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mendez will take on Contreras at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hollywood, they will challenge Roybal at 4:00 p.m. on March 24th.
