Basketball Recap: Braydon Taylor Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Baldwin

West Nassau's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 63-56 win over the Baldwin Indians. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 71-47 back in December of 2024.

West Nassau got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Braydon Taylor out in front who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 boards. Taylor is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last seven games he's played. Kruz Whitwell was another key player, going 6 for 9 en route to 15 points.

West Nassau is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Baldwin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Nassau will head out to challenge Wolfson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Baldwin, they are taking a road trip to face off against Ridgeview at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Baldwin has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
