This season hasn't been kind to the Elberta Warriors, who are still winless after their 19th game. They were outmatched by Bayside Academy at home and fell 52-24. Elberta lost against the Admirals in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 60-0 score last time.
Aubrey Faino was Elberta's leading scorer, having posted 16 points. Faino also led the team in rebounds with ten.
Elberta dropped their record down to 0-19 with that defeat, which was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season. As for Bayside Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-12.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elberta will play host again and welcome the Pirates, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bayside Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Dolphins at 6:00 p.m. Gulf Shores presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Admirals in Alabama (the Dolphins are ranked 63rd, while the Admirals are ranked 319th).
