The Brookhaven Panthers won the last time they faced the Natchez Bulldogs, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Brookhaven strolled past the Bulldogs with points to spare, taking the game 57-38. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Brookhaven.
Leading Brookhaven to victory were Jaylen Haliburton and Kordell Collins. Haliburton scored 14 points along with eight steals, while Collins almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Collins has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicholas Gamble, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Brookhaven has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for Natchez, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brookhaven will take on the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Florence knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully the Panthers likes a good challenge. As for Natchez, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Braves at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
