Danvers waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 52-40 win over the Salem Academy Charter Navigator. While the Falcons didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Danvers' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kyle Sillars led the charge by putting up 11 points and seven rebounds. Sillars is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Luca Tirella, who posted seven points in addition to six boards and four steals.

Danvers' record now sits at 5-1. As for Salem Academy Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Danvers wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 67-55 defeat against Gloucester on the 28th. As for Salem Academy Charter, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-34 loss against Hamilton-Wenham Regional on the 28th.
