Rich Township walked away with a 52-39 victory over St. Laurence on Friday. This was payback for Rich Township, who suffered a 54-51 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Rich Township's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sherrie Emmons, who dropped a triple-double on 16 points, ten rebounds, and ten steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Emmons has scored at least 25% of Rich Township's points. E'Mani Spencer was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds.
Rich Township's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for St. Laurence, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-4.
Rich Township and Bloom will face off at 6:30 p.m. on December 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. St. Laurence will be home for the holidays to greet Marist at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
