The Jones County Coyotes fought the good fight in their overtime game against the Philip Scotties on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 63-54 to the Scotties. Jones County was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Philip apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played last Thursday.
Several Coyotes players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cooper Feddersen, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 19 rebounds. Jett Nix was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Jones County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Philip, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.
Jones County on the road again on Tuesday and play against Kadoka at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. Hopefully Kadoka focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday. As for Philip, Philip and White River will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. White River has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 323 points over their last four contests.
