Newtown lost against Flushing two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pioneers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Devils. The Pioneers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Newtown's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Flushing, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Newtown is set to face off against their familiar foe Bryant at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Flushing will challenge rival Grover Cleveland at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
