After having lost a blowout in their game last Friday against Oxford, Murdock were happy to find some success on Saturday. Murdock had just enough and edged out Gardner 8-6. That result was just more of the same for Murdock, who also won the last time these teams played.
The victory bumped Murdock's record up to 4-1. Gardner are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-4.
Murdock will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Ayer Shirley/Bromfield. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair. As for Gardner, they will face off against Narragansett Regional. These teams both out to turn their luck around after having lost tight contests in their previous games.
