With a playoff win on the line, Strasburg rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Fort Defiance Indians 9-7. The victory was familiar territory for the Rams, who have now won three contests in a row.

Peyton Dean looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Gavin Dellinger was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Strasburg's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Fort Defiance, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-8.

Strasburg has already played their next match (against Buckingham), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Fort Defiance does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
