The Prout Crusaders will head out on the road to face off against the Times Squared Academy Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Prout's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 14 matches.
Last Saturday, Prout was able to grind out a solid victory over Exeter-West Greenwich, taking the game 79-72.

Prout's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mike Brugnoli, who went 7 of 17 on his way to 22 points and five boards. Those 22 points gave Brugnoli a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lawson O'Hearn, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Times Squared Academy faced Ponaganset in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. Times Squared Academy put the hurt on Ponaganset with a sharp 75-51 victory. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 23 points or more this season.
Prout better focus on containing Yomy Garcia and Justin Urey as the pair were huge in Times Squared Academy's win. Garcia posted 17 points, while Urey put up 15 points. Raymond Nunez was another key player, putting up 11 points.
Prout is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.7 points over those games. As for Times Squared Academy, they pushed their record up to 13-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Prout and Times Squared Academy are some of the highest-scoring teams around. Prout hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 66.6 points per game. However, it's not like Times Squared Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 67.3 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can put up more.
Prout couldn't quite finish off Times Squared Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2022 and fell 57-54. Can Prout avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
