Greenhills dropped their record down to 34-7 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's eight-game streak of wins. They lost 11-1 to the Plymouth Christian Academy Eagles. Having soared to a lofty 20 runs in the game before, the Gryphons couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Plymouth Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games.

For Plymouth Christian Academy's part, Calvin Nielson looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Nielson has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Luke Janigian, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Cooper Weaver, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI.

Greenhills and Plymouth Christian Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Gryphons will take on Huron at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (81 vs. 358). Meanwhile, Plymouth Christian Academy (ranked 64th) will meet Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit (ranked 504th) at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
