Vestaburg found their leader in underclassman Lily Johnston, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Johnston has scored all season. Megan Beetley was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds.
Carson City-Crystal dropped their record down to 0-10 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Vestaburg, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-6.
Carson City-Crystal will head out on the road to take on Breckenridge at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Breckenridge is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games. As for Vestaburg, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on St. Charles at 6:30 p.m. on January 26th.
