West Noble has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the NorthWood Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully West Noble focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday.
Last Friday, West Noble came up short against Fairfield and fell 44-32. While losing is never fun, West Noble can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 337th, while Fairfield is ranked 59th).
Alexia Mast was West Noble's leading scorer, having posted 12 points.
Jalynn Baker held things down on the boards with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, NorthWood suffered their biggest loss since November 28, 2023 on Thursday. They were outmatched by Penn on the road and fell 67-39.
West Noble dropped their record down to 2-20 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. As for NorthWood, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 17-6 record this season.
West Noble ended up a good deal behind NorthWood when the teams last played back in November of 2023, losing 52-38. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of NorthWood's Claire Payne, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Now that West Noble knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
