Plymouth Christian Academy has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Oakland Christian Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Plymouth Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday.
Last Friday, Plymouth Christian Academy came up short against Genesee Christian and fell 52-44. Plymouth Christian Academy has not had much luck with Genesee Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
The losing side was boosted by Ray Weber, who scored 16 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Dylan Beasley, who scored 17 points.
Meanwhile, Oakland Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 38-37 to Lutheran Northwest. While losing is never fun, Oakland Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 362nd, while Lutheran Northwest is ranked 170th).
Plymouth Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Oakland Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.
Plymouth Christian Academy beat Oakland Christian 62-55 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Plymouth Christian Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
