The Schoharie Storm will venture away from home to take on the Cobleskill-Richmondville Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, Schoharie put up the most runs they have all season on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 22-10 margin over Johnstown. The Storm not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 25, 2024 (when they won 28-10).

Kayla Hayes made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and eight unearned) runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with five stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Schoharie got a massive performance out of Arabella Donzelli, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Alaina Martin, who got on base in two of her five plate appearances with seven stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Schoharie always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Johnstown only posted an OBP of .333.
Meanwhile, Cobleskill-Richmondville entered their tilt with Fort Plain on Monday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over the Hilltoppers. Considering the Bulldogs have won four matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Cobleskill-Richmondville pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 23.0 runs over those games. As for Schoharie, their record now sits at 2-4.
Schoharie skirted past Cobleskill-Richmondville 4-2 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Storm repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
