After losing to the Lutheran Lions the last time they met, the Thompson Valley Eagles decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Thompson Valley walked away with a 48-39 victory over Lutheran on Friday.
Despite the defeat, Lutheran saw an underclassman step up: Berkley Schneider dropped a double-double on 10 points and 11 rebounds. Schneider scored a full 25.6% of Lutheran's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Isla Koffman, who scored 8 points along with 6 rebounds.
Thompson Valley's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Lutheran, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Thompson Valley's road trip will continue as they head out to face Northridge at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th. As for Lutheran, they will face off against Platte Valley at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
