The Madison Central Indians were the 86-67 winner over the Bryan Station Defenders when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Madison Central received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 56-41 to Bryan Station. While losing is never fun, Madison Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 157th, while Bryan Station is ranked 12th).
Bryan Station's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amari Owens, who scored 17 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The contest was Owens' fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rashaad Faulkner, who scored ten points along with three steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Madison Central and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Bryan Station, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Madison Central will head out on the road to face off against Scott County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Scott County's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Bryan Station, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lafayette at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lafayette is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
