Ridgedale has gone a perfect 6-0 against Hardin Northern recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Rockets will look to defend their home field against the Polar Bears at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Hardin Northern will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Ridgedale extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Rockets put the hurt on Arlington with a sharp 12-1 win. With that victory, the Rockets brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

Kenzie Delaney was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Alexis Burton was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jillian Slaughterbeck, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Ridgedale hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Hardin Northern got the win against Cory-Rawson on Friday by a conclusive 14-4. That's two games straight that the Polar Bears have won by exactly ten runs.
Hardin Northern let Baylie Bacon and Addy Bacon run wild. Baylie went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double, while Addy went 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Kailtyn Whitaker, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Ridgedale's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Hardin Northern, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Ridgedale has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 11.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Hardin Northern struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went Ridgedale's way against Hardin Northern in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Ridgedale made off with a 10-0 win. Do the Rockets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Polar Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
