Badger is 8-2 against Windham since February of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Badger Braves just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Windham Bombers at 5:15 p.m. on January 19th. Hopefully Badger focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Thursday.
On Thursday, Badger strolled past Maplewood with points to spare, taking the game 61-43. The victory was just what Badger needed coming off of a 72-47 defeat in their prior matchup.
Badger's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gabriella Miller, who scored 17 points along with four steals. Miller continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brianna Huscroft, who scored 12 points along with six steals.
Meanwhile, Windham was able to grind out a solid victory over St. John on Monday, taking the game 53-40. The victory was just what Windham needed coming off of a 59-26 loss in their prior game.
Badger pushed their record up to 13-2 with that win, which was their 17th straight at home. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 29.65 points. As for Windham, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Everything came up roses for Badger against Windham when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 61-28 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Badger since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
