Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Beachside Barracudas walked away with it. They breezed by the Knights at home to the tune of 60-27 on Monday. Beachside has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 24 points or more this season.
Beachside found their leader in underclassman Madilyn (Madi) Ray, who dropped a triple-double on 15 points, 13 rebounds, and 13 blocks. Ray is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last 13 games she's played. Morgan Cremen was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with four steals.
Beachside has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season. As for Oakleaf, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-19.
Beachside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Oakleaf also has no future games currently scheduled.
