On Tuesday, the Pioneer Panthers's game was all tied up 24-24 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They slipped by DeMotte Christian 54-53. This was payback for Pioneer, who suffered a 64-62 loss the last time these two teams met.
Despite the loss, DeMotte Christian still got an impressive performance from Luke Terpstra, who scored 23 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Terpstra has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tony Bos, who scored nine points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Pioneer's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for DeMotte Christian, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-6.
Pioneer will head out on the road to take on Caston at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for DeMotte Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Faith Christian at 6:30 p.m.
