Raceland is 9-1 against Bath County since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Rams will welcome the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Raceland comes in on seven and Bath County on three.
Raceland's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Fleming County as they made off with a 14-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.
The result came thanks to Brigham Davidson's shutout, as he gave up just three hits.

On the hitting side, Aidan Shaffer was a standout: he went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Landon Bloss was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
Raceland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fleming County only posted an OBP of .217.
Meanwhile, Bath County got the win against Dayton on Saturday by a conclusive 14-2.
Carson Coyle was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Coyle was also big at the plate, getting on base in both of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI. That RBI was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Bath County got a massive performance out of Zane McCarty, who went 1-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. McCarty is becoming a predictor of the Wildcats' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 11-13-1 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Colten Carpenter, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Raceland's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-5. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Bath County, their win bumped their record up to 16-13-1.
Raceland skirted past Bath County 2-0 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
