The Mars Fightin' Planets were the 85-73 winner over the North Hills Indians when they last played one another on January 2nd, but their luck changed this time around. Mars took a 64-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of North Hills on Friday. Mars just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
Despite the loss, Mars still got an impressive performance from Ryan Ceh, who scored 24 points along with three blocks. Ceh has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 15 times he's played. Remi Black was another key contributor, scoring six points along with nine rebounds and five assists.
Mars' loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for North Hills, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season.
Mars' road trip will continue as they head out to face Taylor Allderdice at 2:00 p.m. on January 28th. Taylor Allderdice knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matchups -- so hopefully Mars likes a good challenge. As for North Hills, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Belle Vernon at 1:30 p.m. on January 27th. Belle Vernon has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 416 points over their last six matches.
