Janiya Blanding was her usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Emma Rae Cannon was another key contributor, scoring six points along with four steals.
Columbia can finally bid farewell to their 13-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Tuesday. They breezed by Ocracoke at home to the tune of 72-26. Columbia's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
The win got Hobgood Charter back to even at 4-4. As for Columbia, their victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-10.
Hobgood Charter came up short against Columbia in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, falling 51-39. Can Hobgood Charter avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
