Rowan Weber made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gianna Roth, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Tess Cozza, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Brecksville-Broadview Heights kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in 12 consecutive contests.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Stow-Munroe Falls and Hudson, and Hudson kept the tradition alive. The Bulldogs lost 7-1 to the Explorers on Monday. The match marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Stow-Munroe Falls' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Brecksville-Broadview Heights has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 13.1 hits per game. It's a different story for Stow-Munroe Falls, though, as they've been averaging 9.2 hits. Given Brecksville-Broadview Heights' sizable advantage in that area, the Bulldogs will need to find a way to close that gap.
Brecksville-Broadview Heights took their win against Stow-Munroe Falls when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 14-4 score.
