Hidalgo has gone a perfect 10-0 against La Feria recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Pirates are taking a road trip to challenge the Lions at 6:00 p.m. Hidalgo is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.
Last Tuesday, Hidalgo made easy work of Valley View and carried off a 10-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won six contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Brent Ian Szczuroski made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Santiago Hernandez was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Jeremy Martinez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when La Feria faced off against Valley View on Thursday. The Lions had just enough and edged out the Tigers 5-3. The win was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won four games in a row.
Ricardo Cisneros spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Andruw Rivera, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Gomez, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double.
Hidalgo's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-5-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for La Feria, their record now sits at 9-4.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Hidalgo hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .315. However, it's not like La Feria struggles in that department as they've averaged .373. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Hidalgo took their victory against La Feria in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 12-3 score. Do the Pirates have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
