The Plant Panthers are taking a road trip to square off against the Durant Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Plant is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.
Plant will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Saturday, then bounced right back against Robinson on Tuesday. The Panthers came out on top against the Knights by a score of 13-9. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won four in a row.

Kate Compton and Anabel Ramirez did most of the damage at the plate: Compton scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Ramirez scored three runs while going 2-for-4. Those three runs gave Ramirez a new career-high. Alexis Richards also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Plant hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Durant entered their tilt with East Bay on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They had just enough and edged out the Indians 9-7.
Betty Oderio was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alyssa Chancey, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Lennox Ullrich, who scored two runs and stole two bases.
Plant pushed their record up to 10-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Durant, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Plant came out on top in a nail-biter against Durant when the teams last played back in March, sneaking past 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
