The El Dorado Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their tenth straight loss. Their tough 73-50 defeat to Augusta might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, El Dorado can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 285th, while Augusta is ranked 125th).
El Dorado's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Sam Greene, who scored 15 points along with three steals, and Logan Garner who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Greene has scored all season.
El Dorado dropped their record down to 1-10 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Augusta, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. El Dorado will take on Collegiate at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Augusta, they will head out on the road to face off against Mulvane at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Mulvane focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Monday.
