Ellington put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's fifth consecutive shutout  on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Canton Warriors  a   3-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  9-0  back in April.
The result came thanks to  Camryn Fisher's shutout, as she gave up just three  hits and racked up 17 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  a single  earned run any time she's  pitched this season.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Mickyla Wong, who  went 2-for-3 with one  home run, one  triple,  and one  stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of  Alexis Flori, who  got on base  in two of her three plate appearances with three  stolen bases and one  run.
Ellington has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Canton,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-9.
